9mm Revolver

I wish S&W would make an 8 shot N-framed revolver in 9mm. From another angle, i believe the issue is the 9mm's tapered case which leads to potential extraction difficulties. I shoot boththe S&W686 and 627 models which S&W chambered in 38 Super - the 38 Super case is a basic straight case and I have not experienced any extraction issues. I have a revolver that is chambered in .38 Smith and Wesson (not to be confused with .38 special). The ammunition looks almost indistinguishable from 9mm except the rim is a shade bigger. Anyway, today I was reading an article about ammo interchangeability and the author claimed a .38 S&W revolver will also shoot 9mm luger. I have a 9mm semi auto and was looking to get a revolver as a back up or cc weapon.

I would love to stay with 9mm because I have stocked so much ammo and would hate to have to do it agian with another caliber. I know 9mm isnt very traditional for 6 guns but i was wondering if anyone had any...
